Award Ceremony on 28 April 2022
The B&C Private Foundation announced a special prize for 2022: the 2022 Houska Prize All Stars. This award recognized the achievements of projects nominated for the Houska Prize between 2005 and 2020 which had gone on to achieve the greatest commercial success. The winners were honoured on 28 April 2022 with the special reserach prize from the B&C Private Foundation. For the first time there were two first prize winners. Guest speaker at the Houska Talk was Markus Hengstschläger, a geneticist and one of the most outstanding representatives of Austrian research. He gave a talk entitled "From the Idea to the Market". Host of the award ceremony was the Austrian Puls 4 anchor woman Isabella Richtar.
From a longlist of 28 submissions, a high-calibre expert jury selected the winning projects in a two-stage process. The winners were announced at the Houska Prize award ceremony on 28 April 2022. For the first time there were two first place winners: Stefan Pogatscher from the Montanuniversität Leoben and Clemens Zierhofer from the University of Innsbruck.
