Direct corporate shareholdings constitute a central pillar of B&C’s investment activities. The focus lies on continuity, economically substantiated industrial value creation, and long-term value enhancement.

B&C Investment Criteria for Established Companies

Focus: The B&C Group’s investment focus is on qualified minority shareholdings in established companies with strategic and technological relevance to Austria.

Differentiation: B&C invests in companies with clear and sustainably differentiated business models as well as attractive growth and development potential.

Investment size: The target investment size ranges from EUR 50–100m, with a minimum investment of EUR 10m. Investments are typically accompanied by appropriate governance rights and active supervisory or advisory board involvement.

Management: A strong and experienced management team capable of driving the company’s strategic development and execution is an essential factor.

Sector focus: B&C follows a sector-agnostic investment approach with a focus on industrial and industry-related business models.

Longer-term yet flexible: B&C invests with a long-term horizon, aiming to drive value creation as a basis for the continued development of its portfolio companies. B&C is not subject to mandatory exit pressure. Flexible investment structures enable tailored solutions for entrepreneurs and co-investors.

Financial strength and experience: With more than 25 years of corporate and capital market experience, B&C is synonymous with stability and expertise. It currently supports close to 20 shareholdings across different stages of corporate development. Its strong capital base enables larger investments as well as growth and follow-on financing where there is significant value enhancement potential.

Sparring partner and network: B&C acts as a sparring partner for companies and management teams, for example in capital market matters. In addition, the Group provides access to a broad network in Austria and internationally.

Private and independent investor with focus on Austria: B&C is an Austrian investor with a clear commitment to strengthening Austrian entrepreneurship. The Group invests its own capital, follows a clear commercial rationale and operates independently of political or non-aligned interests.
