25 Years of Innovation, Location, and Entrepreneurship

Since its establishment in 2000, the B&C Private Foundation has been pursuing its mission to promote Austrian entrepreneurship. It views entrepreneurial action as a key driving force for economic development, innovation, and social progress. This understanding continues to shape its activities today: through shareholdings in leading industrial companies, investments in technology-oriented growth enterprises, and numerous initiatives that improve the conditions for economic thinking and entrepreneurial action. In doing so, the B&C Private Foundation contributes to the strengthening of Austria as a business location and to the country’s overall prosperity.</p

A Quarter Century at a Glance

For more than two decades, the B&C Private Foundation has strengthened Austria’s business location through long-term investments and responsible action. A key milestone was achieving strategic independence, which remains the foundation of its activities to this day. Over the past 25 years, the foundation has accomplished much but has also had to navigate economic and structural crises — with successes as well as setbacks.

Essay Competition on Austria as a Business Location

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the B&C Private Foundation is looking ahead: with the essay competition “Writing the Future”, it invites young people between the ages of 20 and 25 to share their ideas and visions for Austria as a business location. The goal is to highlight creative and critical perspectives on current challenges and to provide new impulses for the discussion about the future of Austria’s economy. The foundation is providing a total of 25,000 euros for the five best essays.

The call for entries for the essay competition “Writing the Future” will be announced shortly.</p
