Headquartered in Ranshofen/Austria, AMAG Austria Metall AG is a producer of premium-quality cast and rolled aluminum products as well as primary aluminum. It serves customers globally and its products are used in a wide variety of industries, such as the aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, lighting, mechanical engineering, construction and packaging industries. With a 75-80% share of scrap in the raw material mix AMAG sets the international industry benchmark in terms of recycled content.

AMAG is a partner in the electrolysis joint venture Aluminerie Alouette in Sept Iles/Canada, with a share of 20%. The fully hydro-electric powered smelter allows the production of primary aluminum with a particularly low carbon footprint. Furthermore, AMAG bought a 70 percent stake in the Aircraft Philipp Group (ACP) headquartered in Uebersee am Chiemsee/Germany in 2020. The remaining 30 percent stake was acquired in 2021 and ACP was renamed to AMAG components. AMAG components focuses on the production of ready-to-assemble metal parts for the aerospace industry by machining and processing aluminum and titanium.
