Houska Prize

Two-Stage Selection Process

The three categories “University Research,” “Non-University Research,” and “Research & Development in SMEs” are evaluated separately. The assessment of the submitted projects takes place in a two-stage process by highly qualified advisory boards and an internationally recognized expert jury.

The advisory board makes use of external expert reports to develop a well-founded basis for decision-making and proposes an initial ranking, which is then finally evaluated by the expert jury. Three projects are nominated per category. The Mariella Schurz Prize is awarded in cooperation with a school by a senior class. The winners are honored by the B&C Private Foundation at a festive award ceremony.
