2021 Houska Prize
Award ceremony on September 23, 2021
Austria’s top research projects were honoured on 23 September 2021 with the acclaimed Houska Prize from the B&C Private Foundation. From a longlist of 61 submissions, a high-calibre expert jury selected the winning projects in two categories – Higher Education Research and Research & Development in SMEs – in a two-stage process. The winner of the Public Choice Prize was chosen in an online poll of all the nominated projects.

TU Wien and Symptoma Win the 2021 Houska Prize
In the Higher Education Research category, Prof. Golta Khatibi from the Institute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) won the main prize for her research project “High Reliability Power Electronics”. In the Research & Development in SMEs category, Jama Nateqi from the Upper Austrian company Symptoma GmbH impressed the expert jury and the members of the advisory committee, taking away the golden Houska Prize trophy for the digital health assistant Symptoma. Congratulations!
